re:translate brings AI website translations into my.repraesent.com — and this marketing site runs on it.
One English source, overlays for every market
repraesent.com is written once in English. German, French (Canada), and Dutch (Netherlands) are overlays managed by re:translate — not duplicate WordPress page trees. When you open /de/, /fr-ca/, or /nl-nl/, you are reading the same posts and pages through this plugin. The dashboard at my.repraesent.com shows the live status for www.repraesent.com: three target languages, about 95% translated, and a clear count of strings still open.
AI translations without losing editorial control
Open any page, post, header, or footer in the Translate tab and you get the English source beside an editable field for the target language. Translate all fields runs AI machine translation across the item so empty or stale strings fill in one click. You can still edit any line, keep HTML links intact, and save when the tone matches the brand. That is how we keep DE, FR-CA, and NL-NL close to the English source without hand-translating every blog update.
Updates are tracked, not forgotten
Changing English copy does not silently leave locales wrong. The overview cards surface Needs updating whenever source strings change after a translation exists. A content scan from Settings re-indexes pages, posts, menus, and chrome so new strings enter the queue. Re-run AI on the stale fields, or fix them by hand — the counter drops back to zero when locales catch up. On this site that counter sits at zero after the latest English blog edits.
Add a language when a market needs it
Overview includes Add a language. Pick a regional variant — for example de-at, fr-fr, or nl-be — and every indexed string is queued for that locale. You choose when to run AI, when to review, and where the language switcher sits on the public site (corner, side-by-side or dropdown, with a live preview). Languages you no longer need can be removed from the same list.
